HOST A PARTY FOR PALESTINE!

Each month, individuals across the United States host parties at which they (1) educate community members (including family and friends) about Palestine and (2) invite them to join AAPER Foundation’s Five for Palestine Campaign.  It works like this:

BEFORE THE PARTY

One person volunteers to host or book a venue for a Party for Palestine and invites at least 5 people.  (We provide you with invitations.)  Each invitee is expected to bring five guests.  Guests can be family, friends or others, and should be supportive or potentially supportive of a just U.S. policy toward Palestine.

AT THE PARTY

After refreshments/a meal and mingling, guests are informed about the situation in Palestine through (a) a PowerPoint presentation presented by a trained speaker or (b) a video (which we can provide).  Following the presentation/video showing, a trained speaker presents the Five for Palestine Campaign as a means by which people can act to change the situation in Palestine.  Guests are invited to join the Five for Palestine Campaign at the party by visiting www.fiveforpalestine.org.  At the end of the party, the host provides each guest who joined the Campaign with five invitations for the next Party for Palestine, which takes place during the following month, so that the each such guest can invite five others.

AFTER THE PARTY

The Campaign receives information about how many people have joined the Campaign.  At the end of each month, AAPER Foundation reports this information to volunteers across the United States, allowing volunteers to (1) see their own performance and results and (2) be informed about and part of a systematic national effort to educate Americans about the situation in Palestine and forge a just U.S. policy toward Palestine.
