For decades, even as Palestinians have been denied their fundamental human rights to freedom and equality by Israel's military occupation and official discrimination, a collection of special interest groups known as the "Pro-Israel Lobby" have successfully pressed our government to provide Israel with overwhelming and virtually unconditional military, economic and diplomatic assistance. That policy has done tremendous damage to Palestinians, Israelis and Americans. We need an alternative voice.

The American Association for Palestinian Equal Rights (AAPER) is America's Free Palestine Lobby. AAPER’s mission is to educate Americans about Palestine and lobby for an equitable U.S. policy toward Palestine.

AAPER fulfills its mission by: (a) placing powerful ads to introduce millions of Americans the Palestinian people and cause; (b) innovatively using the internet to enlist Americans for Palestine; (c) developing active AAPER chapters across the United States to organize Americans for Palestine; (d) organizing events to educate Americans about Palestine; and (e) lobbying Congress by empowering Americans to engage their elected representatives in person, by phone and online.
